Image and Audio Release for Events

How we use photos, videos and voice recordings taken at our events -- only if you allow us to.

Last updated: October 6, 2026 - Version: 1.0.0.

It's optional

This release is optional. It appears as an unchecked box on the registration form. If you leave it unchecked, your registration is exactly as valid: you keep your spot, your waitlist position does not change, and you will not be treated differently.

What you authorize

By checking the box, you allow Self Learning Academy, Inc. to record your image (photo and video) and your voice (remarks, questions or comments) -- whether you attend in person or join online with your camera or microphone on -- and to share that material, edited or unedited, on fscoalition.org, our social media profiles (such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn or TikTok), newsletters and materials promoting our activities. This release is free of charge, is not for third-party advertising, and does not allow other organizations to use the material for their own purposes.

If you don't authorize

We will not film you in close-up or publish content that prominently identifies you. You may appear incidentally in wide shots of the audience; if you would rather not, tell our team at the event and we will point you to an off-camera area, or blur your image before publishing.

Minors

If you register a minor, their parent or legal guardian gives the release for the minor's image and voice by checking the box. Without it, we will not publish identifiable images of minors.

Retention and withdrawal

We keep the material while it remains useful for promoting our activities, and no longer than stated in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw at any time by emailing admin@fscoalition.org. We will remove the content from our own channels within a reasonable time, no longer than 30 days. We cannot guarantee removal of copies shared by third parties before your request. Withdrawal does not affect prior use.

Legal basis and rights

We process your image and voice based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, where applicable) and applicable right-of-publicity laws (e.g., Florida Statutes section 540.08). You have the rights described in our Privacy Policy.
