Why we exist, and how we work
Meet our Founder & CEO

María Lucía Barbeyto, MA, BCBA®, IBA®
Maria Lucia, also known as Lucia, is the Founder and CEO of Family Support Coalition. As the mother of a son with autism level 3 and intractable epilepsy, Lucía experienced firsthand the gaps in access, guidance, and quality support for children with developmental differences and their families. What began as a search for answers became a lifelong commitment to advocacy, education, and building better systems for families like hers.
Determined to create change, Lucía deepened her expertise in behavior analysis and early childhood education, becoming an international behavior analyst and positive behavior support specialist, while actively serving in leadership and advocacy roles across Florida's disability community
